Psalms 13

David complaineth of delay in help.

Psalms 13:1 {not in Tyndale; KJV:} {To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? forever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? Psalms 13:2 {not in Tyndale; KJV:} How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

He prayeth for preventing grace.

Psalms 13:3 {not in Tyndale; KJV:} Consider [and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death; Psalms 13:4 {not in Tyndale; KJV:} Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

He boasteth of divine mercy.

Psalms 13:5 {not in Tyndale; KJV:} But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. Psalms 13:6 {not in Tyndale; KJV:} I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
