Psalms 61

David fleeth to God upon his former experience.

Psalms 61:1 {To the chaunter in the melodies of Dauid.} Heare my cryeng (O God) geue eare vnto my prayer. Psalms 61:2 From the endes of the earth will I call vnto the, when my hert is in heuynes: Psalms 61:3 Oh sett me vp vpon the rocke þt is hyer then I. For thou hast bene my hope, and a strong tower for me against the enemye.

He voweth perpetual service unto him, because of his promises.

Psalms 61:4 I wyll dwell in thy tabernacle for euer, and my trust shalbe vnder þe couering of thy wynges Sela. Psalms 61:5 For þu, O Lord, hast herde my desyres, and hast geuen an heritage vnto those that feare thy name. Psalms 61:6 Thou shalt graunt the kyng a longe lyfe, that hys yeares may endure thorow out all generacions. Psalms 61:7 He shall dwell before God for euer: O prepare thy louynge mercy & faythfulnes þt they may preserue him. Psalms 61:8 So will I allwaye synge prayse vnto thy name, þt I maye dayly perfourme my vowes.
