Psalms 61

David fleeth to God upon his former experience.

Psalms 61:1 {To the chiefe musition vpon Neginoth of Dauid.} Heare my crying O Lorde: geue eare vnto my prayer. Psalms 61:2 From the endes of the earth I wyll call vnto thee when my heart is in heauines: oh set me vp on the rocke that is higher then I. Psalms 61:3 For thou hast ben my hope: [and] a strong towre [for me] against the face of the enemie.

He voweth perpetual service unto him, because of his promises.

Psalms 61:4 I wyll dwell in thy tabernacle for euer: my trust shalbe vnder the couering of thy wynges. Selah. Psalms 61:5 For thou O Lorde hast hearde my vowes: and hast geuen an heritage vnto those that feare thy name. Psalms 61:6 Thou wilt adde dayes vnto the kings dayes: and his yeres shalbe a generation and a generation. Psalms 61:7 He shall dwell before the Lorde for euer: O appoynt thy louing mercy and faithfulnes, that thei may preserue him. Psalms 61:8 So wyll I sing psalmes vnto thy name: that I may day by day perfourme my vowes.
